Coconut milk leave-in for your hair; Beauty DIY

I love the scent and nourishing power of coconut milk. That's why I want to show you a simple beauty DIY today, a coconut leave-in for the hair.

WHY coconut milk?

Coconut milk is very nourishing, because it consists of coconut pulp, which has been mashed, and water. You can get it (at least in Germany) in every Asia food store, because it's very often used in the asian kitchen. The coconut pulp contains coconut oil, the ingredient which makes the pulp that nourishing, especially for dry hair and hair ends, which get dry as the hair grows longer.

WHAT you need:

1 part coconut milk
3 parts lukewarm water
1 atomizer (got mine from IKEA, originally designed for plants, I think)

WHAT to do:

Mix it all together in the atomizer and shake it really well! Spray it in your lenghts and let dry without blow-dry. Omit your hairline, because the leave-in could leave your hairline greasy. If you have really fine hair you will maybe need to change the parts of water and take rather four or five parts, because fine hair gets sooner greasy. I have normal hair an three parts work well for me, but you should try different rates if your hair becomes greasy. If you don't use the leave-in up the day you've made it, the coconut milk will become a soft lump in the atomizer. You can use it as bath supplement for example, because coconut is also very good for your skin. You can use a smaller glas or container for making a smaller amount of the leave-in. I used only half of the glass on the picture.

Be careful when you have really greasy skin or hair. Like I wrote above the main ingredient of coconut milk is coconut OIL and oily skin/hair gets more oily by using it. It nourishes nonetheless, but you will maybe have to wash it out. So you better not try this DIY right before your date, for the first time.

Have fun with the leave-in, it makes my lenghts really sleek and I love the fact that I don't have to wash it out. Your Anna.

Ich liebe den Duft und die Pflegewirkung von Kokosnuss Milch. Aus diesem Grund will ich euch heute eine einfach Beauty Idee zum selber machen zeigen, ein Kokosnuss Milch Leave-In für die Haare. Wieso Kokosnuss Milch? Es ist sehr nährend, weil es aus Kokosnuss Fruchtfleisch, welches püriert wurde, und Wasser besteht. Man kann es, zumindest in Deutschland, in jedem asiatischen Lebensmittelladen erhalten. In der asiatischen Küche wird es oft benutzt. Kokosnuss Fruchtfleisch enthält Kokosnussöl, der Bestandteil welcher die Kokosnuss Milch so nährend macht. Besonders für trockene Haare und Spitzen, die ja immer trockener werden, je länger die Haare wachsen, ist es sehr gut geeignet. Man braucht: 1 Teil Kokosnuss Milch, 3 Teile lauwarmes Wasser und einen Zerstäuber (ich hab meinen von IKEA, ursprünglich wahrscheinlich für Pflanzen gedacht). Die Kokosnuss Milch, die ich benutze, habe ich von Penny.

Was ist zu tun? Alle Bestandteile in den Zerstäuber füllen und gut schütteln! In die Längen sprühen und trocknen lassen ohne zu föhnen. Ansatz sollte man auslassen, da dieser fettig werden könnte von dem Leave-In. Wenn ihr sehr feines Haar habt, wird es wahrscheinlich nötig sein die Wasser Anteile auf vier oder fünf zu erhöhen. Feines Haar wir einfach schneller fettig. Ich habe normales Haar und drei Teile Wasser sind ideal für mich.Versucht einfach die Anteile anders zu wählen, wenn euer Haar fettig wird. Verbraucht ihr euer Leave-In nicht an dem Tag, an dem ihr er hergestellt habt, wird die Kokosnuss Milch zu einem weichen Klumpen in dem Zerstäuber. Man kann diesen dann zum Beispiel als Badezusatz verwenden, da Kokosnuss auch sehr gut für die Haut ist. Man kann aber auch ein kleineres Glas oder einen kleineren Behälter nehmen um eine kleiner Menge herzustellen. Ich habe nur die Hälfte von dem Glas auf dem Bild benutzt.

Seid vorsichtig wenn ihr wirklich fettige Haut oder Haar habt. Weiter oben habe ich schon erwähnt, dass Kokosnuss Milch hauptsächlich aus Kokosnussöl besteht und dieses macht fettige Haut/Haare noch fettiger. Es pflegt natürlich trotzdem, aber vielleicht wird man es auswaschen müssen. Probiert das Leave-In also besser nicht kurz vor eurer Verabredung aus. Viel Spaß mit dem Leave-In, es macht meine Längen richtig geschmeidig und ich finde es toll, dass man es nicht auswachen muss. Eure Anna.

Here I want to show you my favorite DIY projects. These are often DIY's which I hope to try out by myself soon. In this week I found the following Jenga DIY:

This is so great, because imagine what you could do with this kind of racks! Use it as hooks for any kind of things. For your wardrobe, the nursery or only for decoration, maybe using more Jenga sets to make a chain out of them?! The possibilities are endless and I even didn't mentioned the colors. Hier zeige ich euch meine bevorzugten DIY Projekte. Es handelt sich oft um DIY Projekte die ich bald selbst ausprobieren möchte. In dieser Woche habe ich folgendes Jenga Projekt gefunden. Es ist so toll, weil ich mir so viele Variationen für diese Hacken vorstellen kann. Man könnte sie für alles mögliche verwenden, z.B. für die Garderobe, das Kinderzimmer oder nur als Dekoration. Man könnte mehrere Jenga Sets benutzen um eine Kette zu machen. Die Möglichkeiten sind unendlich und ich habe noch nicht mal die Farben erwähnt. All-over-red look inspiration

My favorite look/trend in the moment is all over red! It is so pretty and I will try to put together an outfit in the next days. Unfortunately I do not own a single item in red, but fortunately Zara has Sale and I already spied some really nice red items there. Have you worn the all over red look already? Mein Lieblings Look/Trend im Moment ist der Komplettlook in Rot! Der Look ist so hübsch und ich werde auch versuchen in den nächsten Tagen für mich selbst ein Outfit in dieser Farbe zusammenzustellen. Leider besitze ich nicht ein einziges Kleidungsstück in rot, aber glücklicherweise hat Zara gerade Sale und ich habe bereits einige schöne, rote Teile erspähen können. Organize DIY: Decoupage Label for DVDs, Games, Movies

My husband has some Playstation 2 and 3 games and we own some DVDs (especially Disney DVDs). After trying to organize the shelves, where we keep this things, I found a Playstation 2 game without a label. I didn't like the look of the blank blue box between the other games, which where all labeled. So I decided to diy a label.

What you need:

The blank box, brush, decoupage medium or school clay or mod podge, image for the front and the back of the box.

For the image I simply copied the little leaflet, which always comes with the game and I copied it two times. One copy for the front of the box, which I cut to fit the size of the box (the white edge was ok for me) and paint a fine layer of decoupage medium on the box. Then put my copy on top and layered again with decoupage medium, then waited until it dried. The cleaner you apply your medium with the brush, the better it will look later (I din't applied it that clean). The second copy was for the "back" of the game. I cut the name of the game out, stuck it together with the medium and applied it on the back of the game.

You could use better images for this, for example searching amazon and printing it in color and in better quality to make it look even more like the original cover (but for me it was important to complete this as fast as possible). A really fast way to make your shelves look more beautiful and organized. Have fun trying!

Mein Mann hat einige Playstation 2 und 3 Spiele und wir besitzen auch einige DVDs (vor allem Disney DVDs). Ich habe nun versucht die Regale, wo wir das alles stehen haben, besser zu organisieren. Dabei fiel mir ein Spiel ohne Etikett auf. Ich entschied mich selbst ein Etikett anzufertigen, da mir die blaue Box zwischen den ganzen anderen mit Etikett überhaupt nicht gefiel. Dazu braucht man: Die leere Spiele-Hülle, einen Pinsel, Decoupage Medium oder Bastel-Kleber oder Mod Podge, ein Bild für die Vorderseite und eins für den Rücken.

Ich habe einfach das kleine Büchlein, welches immer bei den Spielen dabei ist, zwei mal kopiert. Eine Kopie für die Vorderseite passend ausschneiden (der weiße Rand war ok für mich) und eine feine Schicht Decoupage Medium auf die Hülle pinseln. Die zurecht geschnittene Kopie drauflegen, nochmal überpinseln und warten bis es trocknet. Je sauberer man die Pinselstriche macht, desto besser sieht es am Ende aus (ich habe es nicht ganz so sauber aufgetragen). Die zweite Kopie habe ich mir für den Rücken zurecht geschnitten, einfach den Namen des Spiels ausgeschnitten, zu einem Stück mit dem Medium verklebt und auf den Rücken der Hülle geklebt.

Man könnte bessere Bilder für dieses DIY benutzen, z.B. von Amazon und man könnte sie in besserer Qualität und in Farbe ausdrucken, so das die Hülle noch originaler aussieht (ich wollte aber so schnell wie möglich damit fertig sein). Eine schnelle Möglichkeit solche Regale schöner und organisierter aussehen zu lassen. Viel Spaß beim probieren!
